I think the Vipers and cronies can't handle the fact that there is a real life Viet vet here amongst us, who did fight for his country and was injured in the process..........and happens to be Jewish, loves Australia and feels for Israel.
They want to hang it into him because he served in Viet Nam and was doing his duty as an American citizen.
These are the same kind of ratbags who spat at our own Ozzie Viet vets who were simply doing their duty.
It's one thing to have a go at elected leaders, but for crying out loud, to get stuck into kids who had no say , the only option open to them would have been to either desert or nick off out of the country.
So, Yak gets it because...
1. He is a Yank....and now it's "hate the Yanks time" and
2. He's Jewish and
3. he is pro-Israeli
Yak has said that he does not agree with many of the Israeli policies, but that does not mean to say that he cannot see any redeeming features in the Israelis either.
The yobbos that he (and I) have to contend with, the Gawebs, Tophats, Chinguetis et al, are simply unwilling to concede anything, anything at all that is positive either about the US or Israel......or for that matter anything even associated with Jews.
To them, all Jews are Zionists and all Zionists are Jews and all Jews are blah, blah blah...
Well, Yak has done his duty for his country and I'm sure is contributing here in Australia as well.
And that's bothering the above mentioned gentlemen....sorry, I meant p*r*i*c*k*s......
It doesn't matter a brass razoo what the Yanks did in the past.
Right now there is a problem which has to be dealt with. How it got there to a large degree is irrelevant.
After the problem has been resolved, then we can sit down and work out how, why, where and what and see if we can learn from, our or our allies, past errors.
But no, Damn the yanks.......Damn the Israelis......Damn the Jews.....Damn the Zionists.....
The bottom line.........If not for Israel bombing the s*h*i*t out of the Iraqi Nuclear reactor in 1982 the world would have witnessed such carnage between Iraq and Iran during their 8 year war (Muslim countries mind you with over 1,000,000 dead plus millions of casualties) that would have left the the entire region totally devastated.
Imagine if Iraq had bombed Iran with nuclear devices and taken over Iran and then invaded Kuwait (as Dadam did), what would the world have done in those circumstances?
Look at the way the world is s*h*itting itself now over N Korea who don't have any oil.....
Imagine if Iraq due to their nuclear bombs cowered the entire region and took over all the oil.....The whole world including us, would be f*u*c*k*e*d.
And to fight them at that point would make WW2 look like a day out at the races.
OK so the past US stategy backfired, but now that it's clear we are dealing with a madman, do we do nothing?
And I say
1. Thank god that the Israelis had the foresight and the fortitude to do what they did and
2. Thank god that the Americans now have the foresight and fortitude to do what they have to do.
