I don't think anything has changed fundamentally since MAH announced the big contract win/construction sale. In my opinion, the only changes have been with sentiment...and this is not isolated to MAH. Anything even remotely associated with mining resources has been smashed to oblivion lately.

If you fear volatility it's probably best to stick to other industries.

I'm taking my chances on materials/resources and services stocks because I believe there has been mass panic selling rendering almost everything oversold.
