re: how a currency crisis could unfold? brucerobbo Paperclip had a bit of a read through a couple of interviews with him. You get the feeling he is spot on the money with wage growth out of whack with productivity growth being a big problem. Makes a lot of sense! I never liked the damn tipping system over there!

But an economy whose job growth is predicated on placing as many people in work between a Chinese factory and end consumers in the US is never going to survive going forward. These are not real jobs! They don't yield anything physical except a margin on a commodity produced physically in another economy. More resilant and sustainable economies will always generate sustainable job growth where 'real' things are produced - minerals, energy, technologies, biotechnologies, food, clothing, materials etc! Goods of need rather than want, particularly when the party ends! Intersting times ahead! I am quite happy with my day job. People always have to eat! And now even more excitingly, they want to start using food for energy! Makes no sense energetically (energy invested to energy returned) but if it increases competition for my grain (and it will), bring it on! Good luck! Heads up!
