Singapore Telecommunications Limited (ASX:SGT) owned Optus has won a $60 million contract with Suretek, for the delivery of fixed network and high-speed mobile services.

Under the five-year deal, Suretek, a security solutions provider, will deliver new capabilities in the Asia Pacific region.

Optus will partner with Suretek as part of a collaboration between the two product development teams to explore new business opportunities in the security solutions space.

Optus says its capabilities across Asia Pacific were key to securing the Suretek contract and long term partnership.

Singtel generated a net profit of $3.05 billion for its 2012 fiscal year.
