re: News: Large target extension to the Paris... Thanks for your best wishes on CDU Market-Assassin, but in a scary world do feel quite comfortable invested with mining getting close with almost everything now ticked off and largely De risked apart from world metal prices which are remain under pressure. Hope that when the first shipments from CDU's Rocklands begin they will have recovered. But at the very least CDU will join SFR as a low cost producer with high grade free milling cu ore starting from surface. ie low cost and low strip mining from day one.
Admit that the 50m ton at 2% cu spruik by WM on initial drill hits back in 2006 was both unwise and premature and guess he was a little too enthused by the early drilling results. However the JORC later released was also very obviously inaccurate and way too low due to the nugget effect in compiling the JORC. Another major factor has also been when RC drilling much of the native copper nuggets were pushed aside in the soft ground conditions (i.e not coming up to surface via the 20mm drill bit hole as dust.) If the bulk of the native copper nuggets did not get bagged at surface they obviously were not in the original assays. Lots of close CDU watches clearly understand this anomaly and await patiently for mining production for conclusive proof of the real grades to come over at least the first few years due to the abnormally very extensive native copper zones to be mined. Very quick pay back and dividends are maybe awaiting long term believers!
Now that the rich source of extensive native copper is now actually being uncovered in the starter pit (photo's in latest reports released to ASX) and being stockpiled right now the real native copper grades will soon become obvious to all and may also go a long way to realizing WM's initial resource quote. Especially if deeper high grade results continue to come in outside the current resource base. But lets see when full scale mining commences.
Regarding share dilution as I said previously a very major multi year drilling programme of close to 400,000 meters has been undertaken here and to approach mining with still around 200m shares on issue, and no debt is still no mean feat in my books. How many others have been and will be able to achieve similiar results in the future in the current ongoing funding drought?
Back to IVR and it's unfolding high grade silver story at Peterlumbo still early days with lots more expensive drilling to do yet, feasability and mine planning etc which will all have to be likewise funded by either dilution, borrowings or by bringing in a major who will probably want at least 50 per cent. Only after this has all taken place will you in my view be able to give valid comparisons to companies such as CDU.
Obviously you have your mindset on things but so do I and that's where we had better leave it, but the truth will eventually be visible to all one way or another I guess.
Later in 2013/14 look forward to IVR unearthing another high grade but maybe much larger silver deposit at Alexander. Then IVR can also make the tedious progression towards mining too.
    cheers
    mamba
