MINE: BTU: Lodgement of Timetable for Environment Court
LODGEMENT OF TIMETABLE FOR ENVIRONMENT COURT
Bathurst Resources Limited (ASX & NZX: BTU) wishes to advise that it has
lodged a Memorandum of Counsel to
the Environment Court in response to the Court's direction on the interim
decision advised on 28 March 2013.
Buller Coal Limited (BCL) has agreed with counsel for Royal Forest and Bird
Protection Society New Zealand
Incorporated (Forest and Bird) on the following timetable :
i) BCL will provide the revised conditions by 29 April 2013.
ii) Forest and Bird will review these conditions as soon as possible and
advise by 8 May 2013 whether it
agrees to meet to discuss the revised conditions and, if possible, to agree
on the terms of refined or
added conditions.
iii) If a meeting is agreed, this will be held as soon as possible
thereafter.
BCL considers that evidence relating to any conditions which have not been
resolved, or which require
explanation, should be lodged by 17 May 2013.
Forest and Bird prefers a consecutive exchange of evidence with:
iv) BCL and the Councils to serve their evidence by 17 May 2013; and
v) The appellants to serve their evidence by 31 May 2013.
All parties agree that it will be beneficial for a telephone conference to be
convened to ensure that the
parties are complying with the direction of the Court and that the timetable
is appropriate.
