ordinary time earnings, page-3

Thanks for that ejd. Much appreciated. Your conclusion - "Some allowances are considered to be included in ordinary time earnings which will be calculated to include SGC, but overtime is not." - however still leaves me up on the air.

My employment was under a Certified Agreement which stated that the ordinary hours of work were 36 hours. So, on the "first read," hours in excess of 36 would be "overtime."

However, additional documentation (not the certified agreement) provided at appointment stated that the working hours were 60 hours a week and these were the hours worked. The "documentation (in effect an instruction) is not at one with the Certified Agreement.

I am left wondering as to the question: does the instruction determine that the hours in excess of 36 hours are normal hours of work and thus eligible for the 9% guarantee? Have you any ideas on this?

    thanks

    denben
