Any inhabitant of an invaded / conquered / we just want to live here and we have bigger guns should be thankful to be alive.
Now I'm not 100% up on the "stolen generation" but tell me how you would act if you went to another country and saw small children "suffering" in conditions you thought were unacceptable. Maybe they were fly blown, maybe they were beaten each night for nothing. Whatever the action you saw that as abhorrent.
If you had the power wouldn't you try and change things or remove these kids from that environment?
Or maybe you'd just let them continue to suffer and not butt your nose in?
