And to be quite honest, most Poms (and no yanks) would have a clue where the Indian ocean is (somewhere near India? yes, near Aus? no). So it probably places it more accurately in people's minds.
Just as most natural born Aussies would think the North Sea must be somewhere near the pole - north of Britain anyway ...
But again, it's a nature program, focus on the animals :-))
