Yes regardless of future downturns the world will still need zinc. If you invest in a company that has a cash cost higher than the lows it may reach during each downturn, then they will go broke if the downturn is protracted.
Dont forget, when the new low is $1.30lb input costs would have risen and ibg cash cost may then be $1.40 lb
I am just stating that ibg is not a guaranteed winner, if they would be under water at today's metals prices then its quite likely they would be under water during the next downturn.
