"Sunday's vote , IMO, will return the ruling government because the
Malayian Muslims are not likely to agree to a power sharing arrangement
where the Muslims are in the minority. Memories of the Indians comming
to power in Fiji and the subsequent military coup come to mind."

please do not post nonsense if you have zero knowledge on Malaysian politics.

the 50% majority Malay (or so called Bumiputera) are split to 2 camps with supporters for both Anwar and BN. 10% Christian is pretty much a BS number in the statistic because no Malay in Malaysia is non-muslim (yes it's illegal, which means the 10% Christians falls into your 25% Chinese and 15% Indian who will be supporting the Opposition (Anwar).

The only chance for BN to win this election is to convince the middle class that they will be better off under the current administration, and deal with the rampant corruption. Also they have the usual tricks or manipulating the Election committee, buying votes, etc.

I am heavily invested in Lynas and I sure hope our CEO has already communicated and negotiated with the opposition. Should they come into power, we will have to go through the usual theatrical BS of going through another round of review and keep the license.
