ozbecool,
Your NPAT for FY12 is incorrect. It was US$49.184m.
After other comprehensive income it was US$56.014.
Your (B) is also incorrect for this calculation as they only sold 55,446oz. Clearly, if they had sold their entire production of 60,595oz over FY12 then their NPAT would have been higher.
So using your methodology:
A:NPAT = US$49.184m
B:Gold sold = 55,446oz
C:Average price received = US$1,658
D:Profit = A/B = US$887/oz
E:All-up costs = C-D = US$771/oz
Using total income of US$56.014m (as per the final results)
D:Profit = A/B = US$1,010/oz sold
E:All-up costs = C-D = US$648/oz
Also worth remembering that these results were achieved during a period of significant development activity and that they do not represent steady-state production.
They were also impacted by some pretty severe weather events.
