The instrument you are trading on average moves X number of pips within the selected time period. This should be the basis for your calculation of position size and stop loss. for example on average how far must a pair move against me before the loss passes the pain threshold, obviously capitalisation and timeframe are linked.
This concept is different to actual multiple time frame selection for trading and analysis.
