Pete aby is 51% owned by hindalco which us its only customer. Hindalco set up aby as it needs a source of copper. The mines are high cost and mine life is running out (several years) and there is uncertainty of parent (hindalco) commitment to continue after several years or just let Aby run out its mines or set up another company and mine in another country. The Aby directors are all Indian national transferred from the hindalco group of companies.
