Based on 2010 figures, the following are the largest chains in the U.S.:
CVS 6,288 stores
Walgreens 8,500
Walmart 3,700
Rite Aid 4,608
TOTAL 23,096
If we have a succesful product launch in Sep 2013 in Australia, there will be sufficient time to iron out any minor problems prior to early 2014 launch in the U.S.
Anybody care to guestimate quantity of sales in the first 6 months after launch in the U.S. !
Would TEN units per store be a ridiculous guestimate.
That makes 230,000 units. It would be nice to know what the Gross Profit margin would be. Retail Sale Price of $149 per unit & cost of approx $40.
My sale and cost figure are based on the company's April Presentation. They use a sale figure of $149 and state that cost is less than half of the original cost of the wheezometer which I think was about $85.
Using a sales price to Pharmacies of $100 it leaves Gross Profit of $60 per unit. Toal GROSS PROFIT of $ 13.8 million for 6 months.
I think these are conservative figure. This ignores Australia and all monthly subscripion fees.
