Howard was handed a surplus? After Whitlam??? Your kidding me. I have seen that document claiming Whitlam provided surpluses and it is a load of baloney.
Whitlam increased government spending by 50%. He was so short of money he tried to get a loan from a Pakistani arms dealer and yet he was producing surpluses!!!!
Well that was a bit moronic. Someone should have pointed out to him all the cash he had and surpluses he had made!
Just admit it. This government overspends. It has wasted billions of dollars. It will never make a surplus.
