Glug, can I ask who your wireless ISP is? If you have had it "for years", it should have improved out of sight in that time. I'm not talking about mobile broadband or 3G, but a true wireless connection. There is no reason why a fixed line connection should be intrinsically better than wireless unless there are significant problems with line-of-sight.
