I would only look at this at about $8.50 The major supermarkets are massive players and whilst Coke may have the "best brand in the world" the supermarkets will try and do them over.
If Coke start losing shelf space in Coles and Woolies then who knows does Coca Cola Amatil start looking at buying into distribution channels ie. The Reject Shop for example maybe Metcash who knows. The battle if it heats up aint gonna be pretty IMHO.
I am not a holder in CCL or in TRS or in Metcash. Just interested in the general debate about the big retailers and their market power. The ACCC should have already made them bust up their businesses. You cant have 2 groups controlling 80% of the retail dollar particularly Supermarkets, Liquor and Petrol. The ACCC should force them to sell out of Liquor or Petrol IMHO.
