It is lovely to hear back from the three bears in the forum.
TBE:
The market in the US is producing so much natural gas that the revolution is undeniable. The US market loves shale, the Australian market does not. I wonder who will be correct?
CSG has many more issues than shale, mainly due to coal seams being above the water table making contamination undeniable. Those companies are not included.
I can name 50 companies in the US that have attained finance from a sniff of gas, let alone a resource estimate. You know why? because people in the US know that the technology works and understand the benefits for manufacturing - this will happen here at some point too.
As the Australian government sees its tax dollars continue to decline from lower iron ore / coal demand, it will look for other avenues to exploit - nat gas. It benefits the govt in two ways, its gives local manufacturers a competitive advantage improving profits and hence taxes, and it can be exported into markets which pay 12-15/mmbtu of gas - more tax dollars.
As for other developers in australia - have you seen where the cooper basin is? a little further away from pipelines that our basin. i wouldn't lend them money either. But we will see - i wouldnt be surprised if NWE gets offers from industrial players which would build the pipe for free for an off-take agreement. only time will tell
Diceman:
Your right, the market isn't wrong in the long term - but it can be irrational in the short term (and if you deny that then i wonder why you trade at all?).
Check the share registry - this is held by retail players. retail players read forums like HC and take advice from people like you. Amusing. i am very interested in why you are so PASSIONATE about the stock when you say that you own none?
Wesr:
I dont trade in $500-1k lots, otherwise i agree with you - but buying back in for the number i want, wont be pretty once it starts moving again.
