Thats a fair assumption you make.
Another thing to consider though is even if the Exxara deal goes through it will depend of the terms of the deal.
If the deal is structured as say a cash payment plus royalties to linc then the market will see this as positive.
However if the deal is Linc has to put capital in and has to share development costs for a % of the final profit I think the market would not particularly like that.
I think the next key event will be the LNC Oil and Gas Division Results for Third Quarter 2013 which is due out next week.
This should tell us what the actual oil revenue was and what the bopd currently stands at (which we don't currently know as the quarterly report just talked in averages).
Must confess I was surprised the SP rallied back so strong and I even day traded it 3 times myself even though I said I wouldn't.
Its still a very dangerous stock though as despite a bad quarterly report and a bad Alaska report the SP has almost full recovered to where it was pre those reports.
