Most of the founding clients were LGA's but what they bought was monthly arial updates for about 25K per annum - The Arial updates from Nearmap did not occur with frequency with excuses such as weather conditions (this was the west coast).
Arials from Land Admin are about 2K per annum. The problem with the Land admin arials is that they are updated once or twice a year. These arials do show who has added a pool, cleared vegetation etc.
If Nearmaps delivered on frequency and were more competitive in pricing (which I assume has occured through subscription based pricing), then yes this could be a winner.
