correct B.S. - Flow testing etc ... takes time and effort. It is not as simple as letting it flow and burning overflow.

1)Legal problems can occur
2)notification to all parties takes time
3)proper flow testing may require several days pending on what is needed to clear and stabilize well structure. Around here the initial flow may be 8 hours.
4)Is it worth the time to stop drilling to do this when this is not the target, then clean everything up and restart drilling does not make much sense.

Important thing is to evaluate entire field to the best ability by punching holes in the ground and evaluating results.

This will determine best location for production drilling which is not cheap.
