the original winz samples were channel samples really taken from crosscuts (horizontal tunnels) off the winz to me the name winz seems to suggest they were vertical samples through the seam which they were not.I think that were grabbed horizontally ie along the seam which is very narrow probably less than 100mm in width so really not a measure of potential to extract a potential voume from.
THe drilled samples are probably more representative although maybe due to the nuggety nature the gold would have been spun by the bit into the shavings.
Be interesting to see a seperate split sample of the high grade carbonate sent to a different laboratory to see what results they come up with.
I welcome to be refuted on all the above as have no professioanl experience in geology
