depends what award you are employed under...if you are a blue collar worker generally covered by site agreements or EBA.
You do not get anything as such for time spent away but mainly assistance because you have to maintain 2 places of abode,unless you are in the mines or on the gasfields.
Living away from home allowance is generally to allow you to pay for accomadation for yourself to live away for work. It is not to fund your amusements.
