I think one on Nido's problems is they seem to be scared of their shareholders, lacking people skills, and their solution to that is to keep cards way too close to chest. Remember the attempted consolidation a few years ago when they chickened out halfway through? Fast forward through Tindalo, Gindarra... Then we had the Viking debacle. Blind Freddy could see that was never going to happen when "a few weeks" became a few months. They should have nipped it in the bud then and been up front with shareholders rather than string it out. Just lost them credibility. Public relations is obviously something they are not good at, and it has cost us big time. There are plenty of good stories that can be spun out of Nido but they need to be more proactive in getting the word out there and keeping a news flow going. Time to rationalise what assets they can realistically develop and cut the rest loose. How are they ever going to farm out their SC's in the China disputed waters? Time to stop the BS about being in discussion with interested parties - if it was going to happen it would have by now. Concentrate on realities and stop wasting our money on fantasies.
And if you can't tell the difference, then start returning all those Galoc profits to the shareholders rather than squander it on yourselves!!. Finally, I agree with some others that you should be careful what you wish for with the extra meeting. I agree with the sentiment of giving management a kick up the backside, and I wouldn't be averse to Mr Pope being a director, but both of those could have been achieved at the AGM. One thing upheaval won't do is attract major investors... or market confidence.
Ps does anyone know how the performance rights work? Based on market cap or share price? Hopefully the latter otherwise he can keep diluting to his hearts content and still rake in the bonuses
