I suspect that SLR is being dumped on the expectation that the POG goes a lot lower, say USD1000-1050 range. At that price SLR may need to mothball the Murchison operation and just mine selective high grade areas at Mt Monger. Profits would be used to pay loans off and for smaller scale exploration needed to prove up its gold reserve to be mined in the near term and some capital items.

Obviously nobody knows where the POG will stabilise.
