I suppose eventually Ford was doomed in Australia but I can't help but wonder if the AU Falcon hurried it along a fair bit. What a hideous car. Up until then Falcon and Commodore were fairly even but the Falcon has never recovered. The current model looks okay and is by all accounts a good car but the Commodore looks heaps better and sells heaps more.
Buying a car is an emotional decision so looks count for alot.
