my dear, you are so wrong. lets assume i bought me in in april 2011, ~ $2.50/share.. without trailing-stop-loss-order, i would face a current loss >75%, but WITH an active trailing-stop-loss-order... my potential loss would be, maybe 3%-5%? the stock is in a downtrend since april 2011!! sometimes more, somtimes less. but overall... down from $2.5 down to $0.550
but, everyone has a right to his own opinion, you/me too.
