I have never been a "Holden Man". By default I have leaned towards Falcon. This started in the late sixties when holden was a long term pile of junk.
The lines were so chunky [high roofline] they NEEDED two toning to break them up.
Falcon had two things going for it: It wasn't Holden and a better style.
Note the lower/slimmer roofline.
Trouble is, the balljoints would come apart and you would end up with a front wheel that was horizontal, not vertical. Forward 50 years, what is the big beef for Territory owners? The bludy balljoints come apart. Not a reason Ford has failed, just a symptom.
GMH has tried to stay in the game. Their design team is, in their jargon, a "centre of excellence" and their designs have been incorporated around the world AND they have tried to export their cars, they were so proud of them.
