Maybe the US market being closed on Monday will help the gold price.
Hopefully some more short covering.
IMO if you have a long term view then you use the technicals for entry points and ignore the day to day things that goes on. The fundamentals don't change on a day to day basis so no point worrying about a technical approach versus a fundamental approach.
Fundamentally, SLR has $6 mil ounces in gold reserves (correct me if I'm wrong) plus some copper and silver. The gold price is actually much higher in AUD terms now that the AUD is below parity against the USD.
There are many other gold explorers with market caps of more than 100 mil and around 200 mil that is nowhere near SLR's resources and at SLR's production stage. Of course its not fair to compare an explorer to a producer but the market cap comparison is just getting ridiculous.
