One may suspect that a company in this techno age may have someone to occasionally glance at a site like HC on the off chance that 0.001% of posts may actually hold something of interest to management ;)
Whilst most companies have websites, they are constrained to a point as to what they can or can't publish. As they certainly wouldn't want to be misleading or in contravention of any ASX rules.
CXY state they are trying to re-install shareholder confidence. Whilst insto's and major investors appear in the main only to be interested in facts and figures, retail investors like to have an idea of what is going on. Well I do in any case and dislike it when information is so scarce I feel like a mushroom.
With the ease of technology, one thing I'd like to see in addition to Official NEWS and ANNOUNCEMENTS, is an 'Update Column' on company websites for non-sensitive information and progress of major matters of import, as an additional stopgap to having to wait for the usual activity quarterlies.
In CXY's case, no specific's of course, just simple things regarding current matters, like...
1). X Court Matter adjourned to Y date for Z reason
2). 1 and 2 drills completed at M on schedule. Drill 3 expected start on Y date.
3) Delay expected, it's raining cats and dogs.
Such things aren't secret or sensitive, and one can spend time and hunt that sort of information down if they wish. Wouldn't it be nice not to have to go hunting all the time. If a company supplied that information would you have more confidence in that company?
As I said, specifics aren't required, that can wait for the usual reports as such. I just think short easily accessed non-sensitive updates on progress of matters of strong interest may alleviate some apprehensions from time to time. Which may raise retail investor confidence. It certainly wouldn't take much effort or time to do occasionally.
Any thoughts on that or something else?
