Thanks & appreciate very much for taking the trouble & making efforts on the CGT in your reply.

From what I gather, that CGT is really a complicated issue for many people. I don’t think I can get far with the ATO web. In fact, I don’t necessary need to explore much for now.

You see, I have a situation here. All I’d like to find out for the time being is if one is subject to CGT, in percentage wise, it could range from as low as 0% to as high as how many %? Can the highest be anywhere near 10%? If say the tax payer’s current income is needed for a more accurate estimate, let’s assume 60k/ annum.

I stress all I’d like to know is a only ballpark figure, see if it’s possible. Appreciate if you could help me out on this.

I know my question sounds a little strange.-:)
