I started my own SMSF about 2 years ago with $300K and I'm currently down 65% thanks to those small caps.
It is going to take years to get even and thats with future contributions and stock recovery.
I feel your pain, I'm lucky though, I had depression for years and just recently beat it, don't know how or why but I beat it. The current state of my SMSF does worry me but I don't mind working so if it doesn't recover looks like I will remain on the payroll for as long as I can.
If anyone is suffering my thoughts are with you, please hang in, i don't know why or how i beat it but i'm proof that it can be done!!
