And it could be working very hard at activating some stop losses along the way. And as the sp has dropped from around the mid $1.70 mark or higher, I wonder if it created/forced some margin loan calls along the way as well.
The reason I am basing my comments upon, is because of the swings that the shares in LNC can do and are prone to.

There is no doubts in my mind though, that, for the ones willing to gamble and trade it, it is a good stock.
