I know they say that diabetes is a silent killer because you aren't aware of the damage being done but quality of life is the only factor IMO.
Sure, if you have young children you need to be around, but lets face it, we are all going to drop off the perch sometime, so we trade off lifestyle with restrictions.
If you can take these drugs without adverse affects, OK. If not then be moderate and make the most of the life you have.
