I have also had a lot to do with talented young aboriginals and I have seen them waste their talents because of no one elses fault but their own...
Nicky, Vietnam Nicky
you are seeing the world thru your own vision. you are not viewing the other.
I have also seen aboriginals not fulfil their talents, which generally relates to sport
You appear to not realise that what you value may not be what these alleged "talent wasters" value
When I was young, I was often regarded by others as a "talent waster". In fact, when I was 23 years old, about to head overseas, a half-Aboriginal to be Australian rugby league representative, called me a "talent waster"
you have continued to post the same themes in your endless rants about "success", which is all based in seeing materialism as success
a person like me, I only invest in shares so I am not the slave of the banks, in needing to acquire life's basic needs. but when I was young, the Western world was meaningless to me (still is). apart from a laptop, you will find no materialistic trappings & luxuries in my home. I like to be around natural things
even for white people, life is a struggle. this society of ours is about dog-eat-dog-work-compete-struggle, pay the banker, for life's most basic needs
where as before they were and still remain a communal focused culture. they simply acquired their needs from the land
when are you getting to realise your values to them may be the same as goanna dung
traditionally, their collective consciousness is greater than ours
last year or so, I saw an indigenous friend walking past the pub and he was with a visiting female Aboriginal activist. when I told this aboriginal woman I lived overseas away from my mother & father for many years, she began criticising me heavy. her values are obviously different to mine. I accepted that. what about you, Nicky?
