I wonder when the proverbial is going to hit the fan with employment figures. My god, there are companies trading at one tenth their value of 2007 but they employ the same number of people as they did then. Immediately two in the mining services sector come to mind that together employ over 80,000 people directly but have a joint market cap of less than Myer.
There are so many now trading at book and below that many must be pleased bottom of the harbour schemes no longer exist.
