Thanks Tshirt, you answered my question beautifully.

I have an opinion that the first well, Paloma Deep 1 was not drilled correctly. From the information we have at hand, I believe that the company should have drilled another well next to the existing well, some 20 to 30 meters away. But they decided to drill the second well some 500 or so meters away.

By using the information gathered, why not try? They may have been able to flow oil to the surface by slowing the flow and also flow tested the higher zones.

We prob will never know, only time will tell.
