36kt pa for a start is small. Grade is ok but costs are nowhere near low enough to be considered 'world class'. Boseto wouldn't be on the radar of any major global copper producer.
i remember speaking with a director of a mid tier copper producer who were in the market scouting for an acquisition and when i brought up DML, he said it needed to show capacity they could produce 60ktpa before they were remotely interested and they had a look and didn't have the capacity to do so.
if it was 'world class' the likes of BHP, RIO would be sniffing around. i can tell you both have absolutely no interest in DML.
People need to understand that there is a reason why the share price is 20c. forget conspiracies of price manipulation. it is simply that Boseto is not as attractive an asset as it was 12 months ago. it really needs the copper price to jump at least 30%, with no further hiccups in production. at the moment costs are killing it. the best it can hope for is a 40c takeover in my opinion. it may be worth a punt. but the sad fact is that this company is now only that....a punt.
