Sorry, my bad. I probably confused things by referring to it as a tip not a landfill. So the landfill is still in operation and the resident are happy they are being paid to accept the city slickers crap?

I am not worried about the quarry, I am just pointing out double standards in the extractives industry. I believe the mine was there before the quarry. They mine the sand because it is a business which makes money and employs people so they can feed their family.

Dry sand vs wet coal, please by all means what is your opinion? They have mined BC for many decades at BM, also at Deans Marsh and of course the LV. No problems as far as I am aware.

Well Victoria needs to export something, preferable more than it imports which it does not currently do. To give you an analogy currently WA is Germany and Victoria is Greece.

Perhaps BM can be a multi-billion dollar exporter of persimmons....
