I am not standing up for agents and as I said if someone is willing to do the work they should do it themselves because agents actually do very little.
They may have got the price they wanted but how did they arrive at that price? Was it the maximum that they could have got? did they completely research all the sales in their area?
On big advantage that agents have is that all this research is at their fingertips and they also are in contact daily with what people want and are prepared to pay The private individual has to do all this research by himself before he starts, they rarely do
