The spread differs, depending on which currency pair.
I don't trade forex these days, but I just logged in to have a look. The spread for AUD/USD and EUR/USD is from 0.7, but it fluctuates from that, depending on volatility. It is a not a fixed spread.
I trade mainly CFD Aussie equities, using daily charts.
I asked a question some weeks back about the DMA CFD offered by IG, but I don't think anyone responded to my question.
