only way I have ever dunk gin is with tonic water and twist of lime or lemon, very refreshing.
Yeah not sure who it would go with orange juice but doesn't seem right.
maybe you did throw away a good drop, I can't imagine gin in a bottle improve with age and I don't think it could go off. Cogs may know better on that
