Something interesting I read over at fool.co.uk, posted by 61pt8:
I am not admitting to being the HNR expert, but today's report doesn't really tell us much, IMHO. OK, they found traces of C1-C5 hydrocarbons in the openhole, but based on HNR's RNS, it would seem that's what they have found so far - traces of HC. The problem is that since they probably would have had to increase the mudweight to overcome the over-pressurised zones that caused all the "kicks", from what I understand, this can lead to loss of downhole circulation. Hence, it is possible that the open hole data may not be a true representation of what's down the bore hole. It's probably best for the likes of SW10/JPGH/etc to elaborate more.
As far as I can see, it doesn't really told us anything significantly enough to affect our investment stance. Wait for the wirelogs, which shouldn't be too far away (before end of week is my guess).
Can any of the geos (geos/olivier) elaborate at all??
