jossette, they stopped at day 10 - BIT's action in hcv (administered for 28 days PLUS SOC with SOC ongoing thereafter) yielded a "cure". BIT225 was out on its own against a tougher virus to crack and did its "job" although it's clear we need to have a longer go at it with other drugs. I would say for a first crack at hiv on its own, bit225 stacked up as well as one could probably expect given its novel mode of action and the areas it was active. it is also an ongoing regime.
It's whether bit management have a strong enough story to sell to partners atm. I go back to a post of SAV's a while back, that BIT is following a measured path forward and keeping its goals both reasonable and achievable based on its resources and with partner requirements specifically in mind. Only a fat wallet will make things happen any quicker one feels.
