re: Ann: QBE Global Operational Transformatio... The presentation is meant to show the world the executives have a strategy and a handle on the business. In actual fact, they have as much idea as you and I about what is likely to happen.
They cannot know:
1. what natural disasters lie ahead.
2. what their competitors are likely to do.
3. what inflation will be
4. what the exchange rate will be.
5. what interest rates will be.
6. what economic calamities lie ahead.
7. what investment market returns will be.
etc etc.
Plans and strategies keep the discipline in the executive ranks but as a valuable tool for investors - forget it.
Having said all that my crystal ball (a much better guide) tells me the stars are aligning for QBE and it is about to have its day in the sunshine again.
