Are you aware that without fossil fuels to provide the energy, fertilisers, chemicals and transport opportunities that global food production might struggle to support even half the world's current population?

Solar, wind, and hydro powergen might be good for lighting, computers, air conditioning, urban trains, some manufaturing and even toyota priuses BUT WILL NOT put food on our tables.

Gas is a transitionary carbon based fuel that offers a cleaner burn than coal, allows ammonia based fertiliser to be produced and allows hope that within 50-100 years or so human ingenuity will step up to the challenge of a carbon free economy ... don't let Greens politicians hood wink you it can and should happen yesterday.
