Have had a quick look through the report but at 51 pages will need more time to digest it all. But my initial reaction is not what I hoped for; company cannot proceed to commercial operation until it can be demonstrated how a larger scale cavity can be decommissioned and cleaned. At the moment do we have sufficient money to do this??

The following from the report is positive and negative?? for CNX:
"However, given the considerable investment by the companies and Queensland government to date, and the undoubted future importance of UCG as a viable energy source of global significance, the ISP is of the view that the gasifiers currently operating should be permitted to continue until a cavity of significant dimensions is available for full and comprehensive demonstration."

I think it's negative because we no longer have a gasifier operating and perhaps we will not be able to restart it.

If report has not knocked UCG on the head altogether perhaps China deals will move forward more decisively. Need to wait for response from company.
