jtw, I have had some a while back, there was a heap that got confiscated of an illegal fishing boat and sold by tender.
Think I paid $20kg
Flavour is actually quite subtle Its white flesh, even texture and flavours are highly prized by chefs around the world. Hence the high price and reason you don't normal see it in shops.
With a piece the size of a cigarette paper, sashimi is about all you could do with it.
