Conservatives loathe change. It could be Abbott's undoing. He is a young fogey with no appeal to younger voters.
Malcolm Turnbull does not live in the past. He has far more appeal than Abbott. Turnbull was a big success in the private sector. He'd be less likely to sabotage the economy than Abbott who makes decisions on his ideological beliefs.
